Keyframe's animation database at your fingertips
Our new Affiliate Network is here at last! We have two members so far--the immense fan site, Animated Lust (Rated PG!) and the news and editorial site, Jim Hill Media. But members get much more than a banner link on Keyframe, they get the Keyframe Animation Finder--a search box on their site that gives them access to the entire Keyframe database.
So, do you have a great animation-related website? Want to offer your users something extra? Maybe this is something you should check out...

New DVD release for Kimba the White Lion
After a seemingly endless saga of re-dubs and general mangling of this series, Kimba the White Lion is at last getting a proper DVD release November 29th. Fans of the show will be relieved to know that this release is 11 discs, in the correct order with the original 1966 voice cast. With thanks to lupercal for the heads up.

Fire destroys Aardman history
Hours after learning that their latest feature, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit topped the weekend box office in the US, a fire destroyed a warehouse storing all Aardman's props, models and sets from their past projects.
According to Ireland On-line, the fire broke out at just after 5.30am in the Victorian-era warehouse. Ten crews battled to bring the blaze under control as a number of surrounding roads were sealed off. The roof later collapsed, along with three interior walls. Nobody was in the building when the fire broke out and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Aardman assured reporters that the models and sets from their most recent feature are safe, but sets and models from their famous Oscar winning shorts such as Creature Comforts and Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers, as well as their last feature film, Chicken Run are all believed to be destroyed.
Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park said today that, after the earthquake in Pakistan, this fire which had essentially wiped out the "entire history" of Aardman Animation was "no big deal". Although in comparison to the staggering death toll in Pakistan, this is certainly true, I am certain animation fans around the world feel Aardman's pain over this loss.
