Flushed Away trailer out
The new trailer for Flushed Away (along with the sneak peak, which has been out for a while) can be found here.
Aardman Animations' third feature film is a bit of a departure for the studio: it's their first CGI feature, and their first not to be directed by Nick Park - the Aardman director on board is Sam Fell, the man behind the lesser-known shorts Pop and Chump. With him is David Bowers, an animator and story artist whose credits include Duckula, Balto, Shark Tale and both previous Aardman features, here making his directorial debut. The creators of the British live action series The Likely Lads, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, are on board as writers.

Pixar takeover by Walt Disney Complete.
Yahoo News has reported on the Pixar shareholders meeting, which held a vote to approve the acquistion of the company as a wholly owned subsidary of Disney last night. Under this plan, Pixar shareholders will exchange each of their shares for 2.3 shares of Disney stock. Making the full cost around $7.4 billion in Disney’s stock. The deal makes former Pixar Chief Executive Steve Jobs, Disney's single largest shareholder with about a 7 percent stake in the company.

Disney's mascot to do a 3D "Dora"
Mickey Mouse and his gang are to star in a brand new, pre-school/kindergarten series in the same vein as Dora the Explorer or Blue's Clues, on the Disney Playhouse channel tonight at 7:30pm, 6:30 central.
The character may be in 3D CGI (ala Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas), but his design hark back to the classic 1940's, with Mickey sporting his red shorts with buttons. The other five characters (Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto) all look as if they have come from the "theatrical era" shorts, albeit in 3D.
The questions today, is that will the kids in todays world, find this show fun and educational, or dull and ironically flat. And does it have a chance to reach the height set by Mickey most famous and popular TV show, "The Mickey Mouse Club".
See this Jim Hill Media article for a more detailed look at the show.
