Ogre flattens box office--film at 11.

That crunching sound you hear is Shrek 2 stomping all over the competition in theatres this past week. The film made $125 million the first five days of its release.

Wired article on the Incredibles

My new favourite quote that I've just stuck over my animation desk: "Once Walt died, watching Disney films get made was like 'watching master chefs cook hot dogs.' -- Brad Bird.

It's from an article about Pixar, Brad Bird and The Incredibles in the June issue of Wired magazine--sorry, not available online--that can now be found on magazine stands everywhere.

Another first look -- Sharktale

Moviefone has posted the full trailer for PDI/Dreamworks fall feature, Shark Tale. After seeing it, I admit my first thought was--why did they bother making this with fish?! Check it out, you'll see what I mean.

That's Incredible!

The first full trailer for the new, much anticipated Pixar film, The Incredibles is now online. 'Nuff said.

2D is dead, long live 2D

A number studios have taken up the challenge of keeping 2D animation alive as the bigger studios move off into entirely 3D animated films. Two such studios are Silver Sky Animation and Arctic Wind Animation who are collaborating on an animated film called Wolf. The film is currently in preproduction and you can check out news and concept art for it on their website.

Shrek 2 Music Video

Only a couple weeks until Shrek 2 comes to theatres. If you're itching to see more from the film, check out the new Counting Crows music video, "Accidentally in Love" which shows quite a bit of footage from the film.
