Rotten Tomatoes' Worst of the Worst

Happily N'Ever After © Vanguard AnimationIn keeping with this weekend's pseudo-theme of "other people's lists that you may or may not agree with", we have RottenTomatoes.com Worst of the Worst list. Three animated films can be found in this list of bottom 100 films -- #56 Doogal, #42 Yu-Gi-Oh! the Movie and #24 Happily N'Ever After.

Interestingly, none of those films made Keyframe's Top 5 Worst List. Think they know something that we don't? Or perhaps vice versa...?

Toy Story's Soundtrack Among the Best

Toy Story © PixarIn an article by The Observer their "star-studded panel of big screen connoisseurs" counted down what they felt were the best cinematic soundtracks in history. Included on their Top 50 list were films like Singing in the Rain, Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz. Surprisingly, only two of the films included on their list were animated-- Toy Story and Dougal and the Blue Cat.

Are you Pondering what I’m Pondering…?

Animaniacs / Pinky and the Brain © Warner Bros."I think so Brain, but where we gonna find pixie dust and green tights at this hour?"

It may come to little surprise to learn that (according to TVShowsOnDVD) volume three of both Animaniacs and Pinky and The Brain have been scheduled for release by the WB, with both sets hitting the streets June nineteenth. This will bring an end to the Pinky and Brain sets as volume three should contain the final twenty-two episodes of the series. As with the previous two sets, Animaniacs continues on with a further twenty-five episodes across a five disc set (in order of original broadcast), leaving the last two dozen episodes of the series for one further volume.

Closer to the present, this Tuesday (March 6) sees the street release of Disney’s Peter Pan in a 2 disc platinum edition set, with restored picture, documentaries and deleted scenes. Just remember that the film was originally made in standard 1.37:1 format :P.
