The Animation Show
If you haven't heard, there's a new festival of animated short films called The Animation Show that's been touring the US and Canada over the past year and gathering acclaim wherever it's gone. From the sounds of it they are going to be ramping up for Year 2 soon and, if your city isn't on their tour schedule, drop them an email and encourage them to come out. That's what a bunch of us did here in Vancouver several months back and now the show is going to be coming to town this weekend.

We Have a Winner!
Congratulations to Tonkuro, our somewhat belated January winner of the Keyframe Mad, Mad, Mad Review-a-thon.
Thanks to everyone who sent in their reviews over the past few months for the Review-a-thon. The site now has 150+ reviews and I'm hoping to see many more in the upcoming year. Keep 'em coming!

At the Box Office
Opening today we have Disney's Teacher's Pet which follows Spot's adventures when he finds a mad scientist who can fulfill his dream of changing him from a dog into a little boy. So far it seems to be opening to generally good reviews although if you go see it, be sure to post your own.

Getting Back to Normal
It's now been about five weeks since I had my little car accident and I'm finally able to sit at a computer again to do some updating to the site. I plan to take advantage of my enforced vacation and use the time to get Keyframe hopping, so keep an eye on the site as the updates will likely be coming daily.
A couple new features:
· Lost Your Password? - if you've forgotten your password since registering, you can now recover automatically it via email
· Other Sites & Resources - You can expect to see links like this cropping up all over the site. As much as I might wish it, Keyframe is not an exhaustive resource, so if you aren't able to find something here you might want to check out some of these great sites. Also, if you know of a site I'm missing be sure to Submit a URL.

Goings on in the Magic Kingdom
If you're looking to catch up on the present Disney soap opera, keep your eyes on SaveDisney.com, headquarters of the "Oust Eisner" movement and run by Roy E. Disney and his supporters. For commentary on the whole saga, try Jim Hill Media which has been running a series of articles on the state of the Disney company.

Disappointed
Dissatisfied with the current Disney empire? Check out these t-shirts available at JustInSpace.com. No, Keyframe doesn't get anything out of the sale although I may have to pick up one for myself. Orders to be shipped the first week of February!

Random Acts of Shameless Self-Promotion
As some of you may be aware, for the past two years I have been studying computer animation in prepartion for a career as an animator. With my demo reel finally complete, I invite you all to check it out on my online portfolio.
