Hakuoro awakens with no memory of his past, and with a mysterious mask permanently affixed to his face. A kindly old woman and her granddaughter take him in, and he soon becomes part of their small village.
But dark forces are at work elsewhere in the world, and soon Hakuoro must take up arms to defend his new home.
