Tom is told that he is a square by the lady of his affections, leaving him feeling dejected. While wallowing he hears a radio talking about the latest craze, the zoot suit. Using nearby objects, Tom fashions his own zoot suit and manages to win his lady back: but Jerry, unhappy at being used as a gift in the cat’s earlier attempt, plans to make Tom’s date a painful experience.
