The Two Mouseketeers
It is 18th Century France: Jerry and Nibbles are the King’s Mouseketeers, who on their march overhear the ordering of Tom to guard a great banquet from intruders, especially the Mouseketeers; or else he’ll be for the guillotine. Jerry and Nibbles enter the halls and attempt to abscond with the food, but they accidentally attract Tom’s attention and have to fight the feline sword-to-sword.
|Francoise Brun-Cottan||... Nibbles|
Won the 1952 Oscar for best short subject, Cartoon; beating out competition from Disney's Lambert the Sheepish Lion.
While the man giving Tom his orders speaks in a comedic fractured-French (with bits of English). Little mouse Nibbles’ lines are actual spoken in the true language.
