Of Interest:

This series episodes are comprised of three short cartoons, the second of which usually feature either: Woody’s nephew Knothead and Niece Splinter. His adaptable girlfriend Winnie, or Chilly Willy and his own battle of wits with Smedley or Maxie the bear (usually to do with finding warmth and/or food).

The original Woody Woodpecker Show (1957) consisted of his and related characters (Chilly Willy, Andy Panda, etc) theatrical shorts, wraparounds and a live-action piece presented by Walter Lantz himself. The 1957 show was sponsored by Kellogg’s, the breakfast cereal giant.
