Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, is perhaps even more head-strong than her father was as a youth. Unlike him however, she isn't looking forward to becoming Queen of the Pride Lands one day and longs for someone to understand her for who she really is and not just the title she carries. Kovu appears to be a kindred spirit but he's also the son of the Outlander, Zira, who was among those who were loyal to Simba's hated enemy, Scar. Zira's plotting to overthrow Simba and put Kovu, Scar's chosen heir, in his place as King. Now Kovu must decide where his heart lies--with the Outlanders or with Kiara.
