After her ice palace melts in the spring thaw the fox commandeers the hare’s house, leaving him homeless. The hare’s crying brings helpers to him in the form of the big grey wolf, Misha Bear and the bull; yet all are scared off by the fox’s temper, leaving the hare more and more crestfallen as he wallows in memories of living in his cozy little home.
