After he saves Spike from the dogcatcher the dog becomes Jerry’s pal, saying that if he ever needs help, then all he has to do is whistle and he’ll be there. Of course with Tom nearby and on the prowl, Jerry finds it hard to resist using this offer to put one over on his feline nemesis.
