Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty © Disney

At long last, the good King and Queen are blessed with a daughter and they name the young princess, Aurora. People come from all over the kingdom to see the child including the three good fairies--Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. However an uninvited guest, the dark sorceress Maleficent, decides to crash the celebrations and curse the royal baby. She bestows a destiny of death if Aurora touches the needle on a spinning wheel before her sixteenth year. The good fairies are able to lessen Maleficent's curse to a deep sleep instead of death but still Aurora's destiny hangs like a shadow in the future. In a hope of preventing it, the fairies take the baby into the woods with the intention of hiding her until Aurora's sixteenth year has past. However, despite all their precautions, fate has a nasty tendency of fulfilling itself...
