In the year 2251, Earth has been broken into separate blocks, orbiting the core - Skyland. Water is the most precious resource, but it is controlled by a corrupt leadership known as 'The Sphere'. A group of rebels still hold out against The Sphere.

Mahad and Lena are farming children who insult visiting representatives of The Sphere. Using her 'Seijen' magic, their mother, Mila manages to overcome a Sphere ship, and sends her children away in the ship. They become involved in the battle with the rebels, to overthrow The Sphere and free their now imprisoned mother.
