John Kricfalusi reunites with his original creations: the anarchic Chihuahua Ren Höek and his best friend, the ‘eediot’ Stimpson J. “Stimpy” Cat for more zany misadventures… this time with a much more adult sensibility.

Spike TV (previously known as TNN) offered Kricfalusi to make the series without censor interference but found that John’s updated vision too extreme to work round even their advertisers: The series was ultimately cancelled just a month after it first episode aired…
Kricfalusi has retained control of the unaired episode Naked Beach Frenzy and was able to finish two more hour long episodes; running them at animation festivals and special screenings; before releasing the cartoons unedited onto DVD. He has supposedly stated that he is interested in making future episodes direct-to-video, bypassing televisions strict guidelines of conduct.
Billy West (the original voice of Stimpy), refused to provide his voice after reading the series' script.
