Porco Rosso
"Porco Rosso is one of the best seaplane pilots in the Adriatic, he's adored by the ladies, and he is also a pig. Porco was once a man named Marco--a top-notch WWI Italian air force pilot. But a dark incident occured during the war, and he has been a pig ever since.
Porco makes his money defending ships from air pirates, but--being the pig that he is--he spends his days lounging on the beach and his nights lounging at the Hotel Adriano. Gina, a gorgeous chanteuse and owner of the hotel, is one of Porco's only friends. When a hotshot American pilot flies into town, guns Porco down, and proposes to Gina; Porco is forced to get his plane rebuilt and his attitude adjusted by a young girl named Fio, and learn how to become human again." -- Austin Film Festival synopsis
