Gerald McBoingBoing appears as Tiny Tim (in a speaking role.) A song called 'People' was written for the show, but was not included. The songwriters recycled it in 'Funny Girl' where it became Barabara Streisand's first big hit. The Christmas Carol was the first in a series of UPA cartoons casting Mr. Magoo as the star of various classic tales. The DVD notes claim Magoo's Christmas Carol to be the very first made=for-television Christmas special.
