Three episodes, three different animation styles, based on three science fiction short stories by Katsuhiro Ôtomo.

Ep.1: Magnetic Rose - In the Bernard 4th Galaxy, the space salvage ship Corona receives a transmission on the emergency frequency from a wrecked spaceship. The distress signal comes in the form of a piece of opera from 'Madame Butterfly'...

Ep.2: Stink Bomb - A lab technician at a pharmaceutical company comes into work with a bad case of the flu. His co-workers suggest that he try the new medicine sample sitting on their boss' desk. He does so without realizing that it's a new kind of weapon that's been secretly developed for the government. One little pill and he's suddenly a walking biohazard...

Ep.3: Cannon Fodder - A day-in-the-life tale of a little boy and his family whose entire society revolves around the firing of enormous cannons at an unseen enemy.
