In this series, Lassie lives "in the Turner family home safeguarding the forest from danger with the Turners, their native American friend Gene Fox, and a team of animal "rangers". These included Toothless, an aging Moutain lion, Edgar, a raven, Fastback, a turtle, as well as an owl, a skunk and porcupine." In each episode Lassie and her animal pals protect the wilderness from a range of threats, from natural disasters to ecological and human threats.
