King Arthur, voiced by Rik Mayall, is obsessed with the supercillious and unobtainable Guinevere, and each episode involves him being sent on some ridiculous quest at her behest, in an effort to win her love. He is aided or hindered by his horse Alan, the rather doddering Merlin, and the downright unpleasant Sir Launcelot.
