Street gangs, greasers and rumbles - 1950's Brooklyn brought to life in this long-postponed Ralph Bakshi movie. Vinnie is the leader of The Stompers, an Italian street gang. He falls for Jewish girl Rozzie, but their romance is threatened by Rozzie's overprotective parents, and ultimately by the manic behaviour of Vinnie's best friend Crazy Shapiro, which leads to a rumble with a black gang called The Chaplains.
