Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

In the year 2030, androids, cyborgs and high-tech prosthetics are a way of life for humanity. At a young age, a medical condition required that Motoko Kusanagi's brain be implanted into an entirely cybernetic body. Today she is Major Motoko Kusanagi and the second in command of the elite Section 9 internal security unit. With her support team and the tachikoma, (intelligent mini-tanks with child-like personalities), they defend Japan from dangerous, high-tech crimes where the line between what is real and what is digital has been blurred completely...

What's always attracted me to GITS, from the first movie on was the action and sci fi. I don't think of myself as an action fan, but when it's done...

I just finished watching my first four episodes of Stand Alone Complex and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I didn't particularly enjoy the Ghost in the Shell movie......

Much like the theatrical films, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is one of those animes that's famous not so much for its plot but more for the way...
