Mac's mom forces him to "outgrow" his imaginary friend Bloo, so he places him in a mansion where other imaginary friends can be adopted by new boys and girls. Sad that he might never see his friend again, Mac convinces the owner to an arrangement: Bloo won't be put up for adoption as long as Mac visits every day. While at the mansion, Mac also makes friends with some of the other residents there.
