Footrot Flats: The Dog's Tale
Set in the fictional rural town of Raupo, New Zealand, 'The Dog's Tale' features the characters of the popular NZ comic strip 'Footrot Flats'. The central characters are 'Dog', a border collie sheepdog, and his best mate, farmer, and rugby hopeful, Wal. Several storylines intersect as the Footrot gang try to rescue Cooch's prize stag from the villainous Murphy's, Dog tries to keep Wal apart from the seductive hairdresser 'Cheeky' Hobson, rescue his own girlfriend Jess, and not get killed in the process, and Wal attempts to impress the selectors of the New Zealand All-Blacks rugby squad.
