Fantasia 2000
The long awaited and long talked about sequel to the Walt Disney's 1940 film. Like the original Fantasia, this film showcases rich animation--some of it more experimental than the Disney studio's usual fair--that is guided by the score of a variety of classical music. Apparently Walt Disney had originally envisioned Fantasia to be an ongoing project that would be added to and improved upon over the years. With this in mind, one sequence from the 1940 film--"The Sorceror's Apprentice"--has been included in Fantasia 2000 along with the seven new sequences.
The first Disney movie to ever get its initial release exclusively to IMAX theatres.
