Ding Dog Daddy
Ding Dog Daddy © Warner Bros.

The hero of this wartime short is a romantically inclined dog who is a bit short on brains. After being rejected by a real life 'girl', he falls in love with a statue of a greyhound (after kissing her when she's being struck by lightning.) Unfortunately the garden in which the statue is kept is guarded by the usual Warner bulldog, and on top of that the statue (who he has named 'Daisy') is melted down by the army to make munitions, and eventually becomes an artillery shell.
