Chilly Willy
Chilly Willy © Walter Lantz Productions

The captain of a Icebreaker is going ashore, telling Mascot: the ship’s dog, not to let anyone on board, or else. Not far away, the little penguin Chilly is terribly cold and sings that he would rather live somewhere warmer when he comes across the ship. Inside he spies a hot stove and imagines himself nice and toasty sitting on top of it. He proceeds to make this dream a reality, in spite of the guard dog’s best efforts to get rid of him.

Of Interest:

The first Chilly Willy cartoon and the little penguin looks a lot different in his first appearance than he would in his second and subsequent cartoons; where he would be redesigned by Tex Avery (during his brief run at Lantz) into his familiar chubby cute form for The Legend of Rockabye Point and I’m Cold.
