Of Interest:

Titled 'Laputa, Castle in the Sky' in many countries. Miyazaki borrowed the name from the floating city in 'Gulliver's Travels', presumably without knowing that 'la puta' means 'whore' in Spanish. Hence 'Laputa' was dropped for Region 1 releases.
